Greater Sacramento’s 700+ public schools feature award-winning programs, including IB and AP programs, and specialized workforce development tracks. Placer County boasts 24 schools with a 10/10 California School Rating score while El Dorado County is pioneering new programming in robotics, information technology, manufacturing, hospitality, transportation and sports medicine thanks to a $4.4 million grant. In 2019, U.S. News ranked West Campus High School in Sacramento the #32 school in the state with a 100% graduation rate and 85% AP participation rate.

Greater Sacramento is home to over 130 private schools that feature specialty tracks for STEM, law and more. Country Day School was ranked the #18 best private K-12 school in the state and has a 100% acceptance rate to four-year colleges and universities. Jesuit High School has an advanced robotics program, which took first place in the International Mate Rove Competition three times.
